Studio Upgrade 2022!
Great progress, a full half day of tech work. I have the midi Motu installed, routed and tested with all modules and keyboards, successfully channeled to the DAW. Now working on the Audio In/Out – My analog Sequential Circuits Pro 3 should be here any day now to finish off the keys setup. Now a coffee refill (of my fav Columbian) and on to the audio wiring to the DAW and Mixer. Working on Seeds and Carrots my first new tune with my reinvigorated keyboard setup. Ahhhh. feels good…
A little history on the Analog Synth. I used to have a PRO ONE, the original sequential circuits. I toured with that keyboard and it’s homemade wood case, and it worked great, however it was analog and always required tuning. I literally gave it away when I took a hiatus from music and went into engineering and physics (along with a lot of other gear). They are worth 4K today LOL – Later in the 2000s I bought a KORG Analog modelling synth (M2000) which broke down and I literally gave that away (before I got back into electronics again) they are only worth $400 today – So the Pro 3 will be a joy to work with. Anticipation eh? No more temperature drift to deal with a 3 wonderful oscillators!
