I have been writing lyrics and poems since I was 13ish years old and a good many of them made their way into my music. I’ve never stopped writing. These are my ideas and thoughts wrapped up in songs; but as with art, I intentionally leave it up to you to figure out what they mean to you! This is only a small portion of my actual poems because most of my earlier music was never officially recorded and I often just wrote lyrics. I spent many an hour writing lyrics down to reflect my thoughts of the day. At one point one of my books of poems got left behind on a bus. That was tragic, never found it. But it didn’t stop me from creating more.

One more thought. I take a big picture view of my life’s work. Life is transient. Someday I will be gone, and these will be like some scribbles I left behind. Someone may make these theirs, I hope they do, and I hope they live on to inspire thoughts, ideas, entertainment, and maybe promote some new awakenings.

From 2001 to 2020 I released many songs in the form of CD’s or singles. The first section of the lyrics collection from these songs. The themes were wide and varied but often are an examination of the human emotion or deeper metaphysical questions were the topics. Some of them are whimsical and light, other are heavy and full of thought. Some of these lyrics might seem strange but you have to hear them in context of the music it will all make sense. I put some of the song structure in the words in, so you can listen and hear them while the song played. The “answer” parts of the lyrics are background vocals parts and are in (parenthesis). They often include my notes such as [Guitar Bridge] to give markers into the song structure.

That’s How Dreams Go was released in 2005 under my fictitious band name of Acquisotic. It was a fictional name that I quite literally created out of thin air. It was composed of the following ideas.

· Aqua – Water – Flowing in its nature

· Acquire – To Gain Knowledge

· Inquisitive – Always curious for information and knowledge

· Exotic – Unusual, Special, Sensual

Aquisotic II

Acquisotic II CD was released in 2012 as a collection of songs written at the end of the That’s How Dreams Go sessions and the lyrics written in the years between, as many were written in 2011-2012 as were written in 2005-2006.

It was meant to be the next step in music development and was the album that I was returning to using my name instead of a Pseudo band name so I named the album itself as Acquisotic II.

I absolutely love this song. It was originally written in 1974 and I finally got around to recording it with modern gear. It really only had the chord pattern and the melody. I tweeked the lyrics a little bit when re-recorded it. It’s relatively true to the original.

This song was written in about 2012 and never released. It was created on my hard disk recorded so I had to transfer all the digital tracks one by one into my DAW where I remixed it and added some parts to it. It’s really a reflection on all the failures and yet I keep trying.

This song was written in 2016 when I was living in my house in Washington before I sold it. It took about 3 months to create but a bit longer to finalize it. It was about how I can’t hang on to anything in life and we always have to ready to let physical and emotional things go.

Released in 2001 under the name of AUDIOGRILL.

Crazy Days was my first release after I returned to playing again. I only sing part of 1 song on the album but I wrote the most of the lyrics for the title song. All of the music of course. And I included a song I found on one of my tapes that I created in my home studio in 1982 so I included those lyrics also.

Crazy days Is an interesting song because I wrote the verse parts and the vocalist who sang it wrote the “Inflatable girl” chorus parts. I got quite the chuckle out of it so we left it exactly as originally performed. I did the backing vocals.
